Start Today's Journey with Prayer
“Father, there are so many people who need to know Your reviving power! Please give me boldness to share with them the hope that is found in You. Help me to obediently follow wherever You lead me. Please speak to me now from Your Word.”

Ephesians 6:18-20
"… praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak."
Acts 1:8
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
2 Corinthians 5:16-21
"From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, Who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministy of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake He made Him to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."
Matthew 10:19-21
Respond to What God Has Said
“When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”
The reason God wants to bring fresh revival to your heart is not only for you. He wants your life to be full of Him so that you can be His ambassador to others. Everyone is called to share. Paul asked for people to pray that he would open his mouth and that God would give him the words to say. You can trust the Holy Spirit to give you the words to speak to the people in your circle of influence who desperately need to hear.
End Today's Journey with Prayer
“Father, give me boldness to share the gospel with those around me. Help me open my mouth when You prompt me, and then give me the words to say, just as You promised. Please use my life to influence the lives of others so that they can know You!”
Write your answers down to the following questions:
-
What is the overall theme of the scripture passages above? How is God calling you to respond?
-
Ask God to place on your heart the names of at least five Christians you know who need to experience a personal revival with God. Write their names down.
-
Write down the names of five people you know who don’t have a relationship with Jesus.
-
Would you commit to pray daily for these ten people, and then talk to them as God prompts?
This is not as hard as you might think. Simply go to them and say, “God is doing something really special in my life, and it’s changing me. Could I share with you what is happening?” Then just tell them about the fresh work of revival that’s occurring. Point them to Jesus as the One Who alone can do this work. You might end by saying, “Would you like to see a fresh working of God in your life? If so, let’s pray for that right now!” You could also point them to this seven-day, Personal Revival Journey; invite them to go through it and then get together with you again to discuss and pray together.
Remember, the gospel is the “power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).
God wants to work in them more than you might realize. He just needs your willingness to share!
