My car exhaust system is broken, what should I do?
Every time I drive over a bumpy gravel road or go over a speed bump in my residential area, I hear a very annoying metallic vibration coming from the rear end of the car. It sounds like a loose piece of sheet metal is bouncing against the underside of the trunk floor. The car drives perfectly straight, so I don't think it's a suspension problem. What could be loose down there?

That metallic vibration is very common and usually means a rubber mounting hanger has snapped, or a protective heat shield has corroded around its bolts. You can book an inspection to fix a Muffler rattling at https://www.vip-servicecenter.com/services/exhaust-services to secure the loose components properly. If a heavy pipe is left hanging loose, the constant swinging motion will eventually crack the main manifold weld.
